Suresh and Yatin Patil are from a family of long-established table grape growers in Nashik. When the Maharashtra Grape Processing Policy was announced in 2001 they decided that this was the incentive they needed to establish their own wine-producing business.
Their early wines, which have been marketed under the Reveilo label, were based on classic French varietals and were very well received. Following this they took the unusual step of importing Italian grape varieties (Nero d’Avola, Sangiovese and Grillo) which had not previously been introduced to India. The first Italian varietal wines were released in 2010.
